Thirty-nine generous member artists donated work to Artists At Home's second online Christmas charity auction, organised by Hamish Pringle in November 2021. A total of £4,690 was raised for local charity The Upper Room and further £1,000 was received by the charity in direct donations during the publicity campaign.
Artists' donations to the auction ranged from paintings through ceramics to an art class by abstract painter and Chair of Artists At Home, Kathryn Davey. The 17 artists who donated 100% of their winning bids raised £2,829 for the charity, and members who donated 50% generated a further £1,861.
Chris Francis, CEO of The Upper Room, said: “This result is fantastic and will have a real impact on our ability to help our guests this winter. My thanks go to the members of Artists At Home once again, to the bidders, and all those who helped with promotion.”
