I am a garden designer by profession, but I would have liked to have gone to art school and spent my whole life as an artist. I have been making pictures for the past fourteen years, after joining a painting group led by Anthea Craigmyle in Chiswick Mall. I  experiment with different styles, painting in various media on canvas, board, paper and wood. I also make collage pictures, using paper that I have previously painted, in order to create varying effects with the textures and colour intensity. I love the random and serendipitous nature of using painted paper in this way. 

I post frequently on my Instagram account  @henriettaparsons_paintings. Some of this work is unframed, making it cheaper and easier to post.  

I try to frame my own work, using recycled frames to keep costs down and for environmental reasons. Each frame therefore has its own character.

The paintings shown below are framed (except where specified) but I have photographed them without showing the frame because it is easier to see the image that way and it avoids reflections from the glass. If you are interested in a purchase, please email me and I will send a photo of the framed image.
