thrown form, oxidation, reduction,, smoke fired, raku, saggar, wood firing inc anagama firings
Roz set up and runs the Ceramics Department of Chiswick Art School, running a variety of pottery courses. Her interests are in the thrown form, influenced by the brutalist shapes of Hans Coper's ceramics. Roz's use of colour comes from memories of summer holidays in Cadaques, Spain, where the beauty of the turquoise green sea in the summer sun is so striking. Roz has also focused on raku, saggar and smoke-fired and more recently wood-fired techniques including Anagama firing. Her work has been displayed in several galleries in London and Kent.
