As an artist, I work primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, layering rich textures and vivid colours to evoke emotion and life. My creative process is rooted in instinct, embracing the dynamic interplay of mixed media—charcoal, crayons, inks, pastes, paper, and even photography and collage.
I use a variety of tools including brushes, palette knives, spatulas, drips, and scratch work, allowing each piece to evolve organically. When given the choice, I prefer working on a larger scale to fully immerse the viewer in the experience of my art.
The vibrancy and boldness in my work reflect my deep love for bright, expressive colours that infuse spaces with energy and joy. My artistic inspiration comes from the world around me, from the play of light and shadow to architectural forms, food, and nature. Travel has also played a significant role in shaping my art—journeys through India, Thailand, Indonesia, Africa, and much of Europe have offered me a rich tapestry of cultural, visual, and emotional experiences. These places have influenced my use of colour, pattern, and abstraction, infusing my works with the diverse energy and beauty I have encountered along the way.
My journey in abstract art has been shaped by years of study, including time at the Hampstead School of Art. These experiences have led me to establish my own studio spaces both in Shepherd's Bush London, and Cambridgeshire, where I am free to explore and push the boundaries of abstraction in my practice.
Over the past few years, my work has been shown in a variety of public locations, such as Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, Helios Apartments London, and the Wild Thyme Café, and a variety of private exhibitions in both London, Chandigarh and Mumbai in India.
This year, I’m thrilled to be exhibiting at Artist at Home, with more exciting exhibitions planned on the horizon. Each new show marks another step in my ongoing journey to share the evolving narrative of my art with a broader audience.
