Bran is a contemporary British artist who works mostly in oil and charcoal focusing on studies of still life, portraiture and the human figure.
His work is representational juxtaposing realism with abstract and graphic elements. His approach ranges from pure alla prima to a more layered indirect approach. Hence in a number of pieces different stages of the process are evident providing a technical narrative through the work.
