I love to paint. It’s simple.

I like to work in many layers of thick and thin oil paint. I try to vary the consistency and application of oils, using knives, squeegees, dripping, and pouring to create the desired effect. I have a passion for colour & texture and take inspiration from everything around me, mostly landscapes. I am trying to create a feeling of being in a landscape, as opposed to looking at it, an abstract emersion.

I'm intrigued by the way light hits the rough surface of the paint and reveals layers. Layering of colour allows me to create a different intriguing surface when you are close up as opposed to further away. I like the idea of rough vs smooth, I want to find a balance between a feeling of soft/gentle and strong/bold in my work. 

I want the painting to come out of the canvas, to be part of the room.

I have sold and exhibited all over the world including New York, Miami, Zurich, Singapore, Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Mallorca, London and many more, see below. I'm also very happy to discuss commissions.
